Compression shorts?

Does anyone have a recommendation for some good shorts or capris that will hold my belly in while I run?  I'm working on it but I feel so gross when I run and my post-baby belly is flopping in the wind.  Well, that and feeling my butt jiggle when I run is less than awesome.

I don't mind spending the cash on something that is going to last but I don't want to be dropping a car payment on a pair of pants.  :)

Re: Compression shorts?

  • I actually really like Target's c9 high rise capris. They hold in my post-baby tummy perfectly, and they are affordable (I think about $30/pair).

  • This is perfect!  Thank you.

  • I have a pair of Under Armour compression capris that I got from ***'s for around $30-$40. They do fabulous things for my ass. I'm a fan.

ETA: That's Diicks. Damn you Nest!!

  • I have a pair from Under Armour and one from Nike.  I like the UA ones a lot, but I think they do a better job preventing chaffing than sucking in my tummy.  The Nike ones are a POS and don't really do anything.
  • i just saw some at old navy a few days ago for $20.  not too bad, especially if they do the job.

  • A friend of mine had a baby 2 mths ago and was looking for the same thing.  We just had this conversation yesterday and I can tell you that she bought the compression capris from Old Navy and swears by them.  There is a fold at the waist that you can unfurl for more coverage.

She does have a pair of Spanx capri activewear but for the $ it was overrated.  The ON worked just as well for like 75% less the price or something.  I mentally filed this away in my head if I have another baby. I hate those postpartum runs with the belly, boobs, and butt flapping.  Face cheeks too!
