I got home today and found a message on the answering machine from my orthopedist's office asking me to call them. By then, it was too late to reach them.
I had an app't a couple weeks ago, and an MRI last Friday. I already have an app't for 5/2.
In the meantime I was supposed to be continuing to do what I'd been doing for 2 months with my PT: walk/run's, theraband exercises, and not doing what hurts. He said if I wasn't 100% by 5/2, he'd put me on a treadmill then and see if there was something up with my gait.
So if they are expecting me back in 2 weeks, what would they be calling about? If the MRI was clear, there wouldn't be much to say until 5/2, right...?
Gah.
Re: The suspense is killing me. (Ortho related)
I don't think so. Everybody who has seen my ankle fusses over the ugly purple scar on the outside of it (from the crash) but my problem is pain that starts right in front of the inner ankle bone and goes about 5" or so up the shin bone. It started when I was training for a half marathon in January, and I haven't really run since I started PT in the beginning of Feb.
Right now stress fracture is on the menu of options.
Its possible they're just calling to tell you the MRI was negative. Our docs do this a lot even if you (the patient) has a follow up.
But you just never know!! GL!
