Speaking of ugly shoes, are these in your mall?
Did some legion of dark angels resurrect frumpy dumpy '90s footwear? WTH is going on? I've seen these styles in 2 states and in 3 different stores, including one very nice store in one very nice zip code.
I had these in 1997. Super popular girl Lauren V. had them, so I got them too.
Don't miss the "gold fashion detail" on the heel. If you can look past the high vamp, square toe, and chunky low heel, that is.
Do I need to go find my midriff tops and Laura Ashley dresses? Did I miss a big proclamation in last month's Bazaar that I still haven't had a chance to read?

I am such an old woman! I LOVE that first pair...actually went out looking for something similar last week for work. Those are shoes I'd wear to work...classic, comfy (I do quite a bit of walking at work) and business like (to me, anyway)!
All I found was open toed, high heels that I could NEVER get away with at work. Like I said, a lot of walking, dirt paths...what are people wearing nowadays?
