Re: UK nesties: You have hot-dog stuffed pizza?

  • In China, Pizza Hut had a kind of pizza where the edge of the crust was stuffed with cheese and bacon-wrapped sausage. I think you could also get it with plain sausage (which would be quite close to hot dog).

  • You know, cheese-stuffed crust always sounded great, but the reality never lived up to my imagination, I thought. But hot-dog (or sausage)-stuffed crust? Honestly, that doesn't even sound good...

    Ditto!

Here, if you get 'fast food' type pizza (e.g. at the train station/mall/reststop/etc versus actual pizzeria pizza, which is, of course justifiably famous for its delicious simplicity), you have the option of getting pizza topped with hotdogs, french fries, lettuce, and corn kernels (like all together in a jumbled heap on top).  It genuinely confuses me.  Why?  Just why.

  • I haven't seen it here yet, but I can see the appeal. I tend to pull off the crust and eat it separately from the pizza, so it would be like a pig-in-a-blanket for me. I'm just not sure I want to try Domino's or Pizza Hut's version.

  • This is from Japan, but the Chinese version was similar. I never found it remotely appetizing:

Ehh, who am I kidding?  I'd eat it.

  • I haven't been to a Pizza Hut here in months....too many kids birthday parties.  No hot-dog stuffed crust that I recall.....

  • This immediately made me think of this:

    Thanks, Meat Cat!

  • I saw the hot dog stuffed pizza thing on Craig Ferguson too. Yuck!
