  • We have good family friends whose 28 year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer when I first moved to London. They lived in Tennessee and she was in Atlanta, and so her family moved into my house while she was going through treatment. She had 3 rare kinds, and wasn't going to make it. She planned a wedding to her fiance in a week, and I flew back from London for it. It was the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to. We all had to wear masks, her doctors were there, and when she danced with her dad to You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban there was not a single person not sobbing, including the people working the wedding. Her doctors let her have a night off so they could stay in a hotel together instead of the hotel. She passed away 2 months later.
