Friday randoms
last night I was sitting on the porch and when I came in the house my H was watching the Smurf's movie (wtf?), so I sat down and we watched it together. It was cute.
my son works at our local grocery store and I saw him there the other day and said a quick hello. One of the store managers was with him and asked my son if I was his girlfriend! HA! This store manager happens to be a very attractive man too so it makes me feel extra good that he thought I looked young enough to be my son's gf. Or maybe he just thinks my son is into cougars.

It took me half the time it normally does to get to work. It's like a secret holiday, all for me.
My boss came in and said "These short weeks always seem so long, don't they?" and now I'm preying he's planning to take off a little early. It's so nice out!

It is very slow here today. Yesterday I asked the secretary who confirms my appointments to confirm a deposition I had at 10AM this morning. I assumed she did. She's out today, and there was nothing on my calendar about it being off, so I troop off to the other lawyer's office only to find out it was cancelled. I wore a suit for nothing today.
I'm very excited for the weekend of May 18th. My sister and I are flying to Chicago and meeting up with all of our female relatives on my mom's side for a baby shower for my cousin's wife. A. I like traveling. B. It will be fun with my sister because we can work on her wedding plans on the plane. C. My aunt (the baby's grandma) paid for hotel rooms for EVERYONE so all I have to pay for is part of a group gift and my $95 flight. C. My mom's family is awesome and it will be a blast. Two aunts have a suite that we can all hang out in and drink wine and be silly. It never fails that I laugh until I cry and get sore abs when I'm with them.
I will miss all 3 of my boys but I'm very excited for a fun weekend away!
Ugh that is still one month away!!! I wish it was this weekend. I could so use a mini trip right about now. This week kind of blew chunks.
I'm heading to my sister's with my Mom this afternoon for a girls weekend. I hope I can enjoy it because there are about 3 million other things I should be doing at home instead.
We had a plane ticket that we needed to use or lose by today. Mr.Garlic just emailed and we're booked on a flight to Cozumel in July. It will be hot as ***, but I really don't care.
Three of my departments have weekly meetings every Friday. I attend them all (unless I'm out sick or on vacation), so why do the neglect to tell me when they are cancelled. Every. Single. Time. one of them gets cancelled, I show up and they go "oh. whoopsy sorry about that." JUST FREAKING TELL ME IT SHOULDN"T BE THAT HARD.
