Anyone take a look? They're pretty crazy and have some heavy weights. This makes my coach very happy, but since the Open really didn't have a lot of super heavy weights in it, it will be interesting who cannot do the hanging cleans, etc.
I think the team/partner deadlifts in the first WOD are so freaking strange, but kinda cool at the same time. I have a feeling they'll eventually show up in a WOD in a few weeks.
Our regionals are next weekend - disappointed that I can't go (they were more local last year), but happy that it won't be 100 degrees like it was last year for the competitors (which resulted in burned hands from the kettlebells and bars!)
Re: Crossfit Regional Workouts
Yeah some of those weights are crazy. The dumbell snatches are HEAVY!!
We have a team going and I didn't make the cut. . . but I think our team will do well on day 1 and 2. The snatch ladder on day 3 is going to be tough. . . it starts at 105# for the women and I think only one woman on our team can snatch more than that.
I'm still sad for you! My coach is a bigger guy, so his strong suit is the heavier weights, so he's pretty excited (we're sending a team and I think one guy to regionals). They had a thruster ladder last year and he killed it - he is amazing to watch. That ladder also started really high - where I would get one, maybe, and be done!
Thank you! I let myself be sad for a day about it and now I'm treating it as my JOB to put pressure on the girls who are going. If I kick their butt in a WOD, maybe it will make them work even harder.
Because I'm so new I have some inconsistencies and I can't muscle up (yet), but I will get there. . . oh yes, I will.
