10 day period for first time ever - worried?

Hi ladies,

Just put in a call to my doctor but she hasn't called me back yet. I am on day 10 of my period. The last 4 days or so have been very light bleeding/spotting - TMI - brown/light pink. I have never (that I can remember) had a period that lasts this long. I am always have an extremely regular cycle and my periods are 5-7 days. Anyway, I'm probably worried about nothing, just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. Coincidentally this is the first month I tried the Diva Cup - it leaked so I stopped using it a few days ago. I don't know how that could be related but it's strange. Anyway, thanks in advance if anyone can share their experience!

Weird. I've been using a DC for over a year and have never noticed that it affects cycle length for the worse. If anything, my period is now "shorter" b/c I know for sure when it stops, rather than just mindlessly using another tampon because it "usually" lasted a full 7 days.

Honestly I wouldn't be worried about it, I have had much longer periods than that and I'm completely healthy. I think my longest was four months, most of it was light though and it drove me nuts but my doctor wasn't concerned at all (I was on bc at the time).

How old are you? Maybe the start of fibroids? I have them and they do extend the length.
