Family friendly San Diego restauarant recommendations?
We're heading to SD for a 3-4 days next month with our kids (4yo and almost 2yo). We haven't booked our hotel yet, but we're planning to stay in Mission Bay. Our plans are to do Sea World, the Zoo and the Wild Animal Park and kind of wander around. DD (the almost 2-year-old) is kind of a pain in the neck to eat with in public these days because her behavior is really unpredictable. I would love to find something loud and casual, with good food and local to SD. We like all kinds of food.
Any suggestions? We'll probably eat breakfast at the hotel, lunch at whatever park we're visiting that day, but we need to find dinner places.

Phil's BBQ.
It will be crowded, but it will be worth it. If you can't stand the wait (which I can't), phone in and get your order to go. I've eaten it in my hotel room more than once.
Get the beef ribs.
Thanks! That's really close to where I think we'll be staying. I bet we could get it to go and find some place to have a picnic.
Hi, I was in San Diego in February, stayed in Mission Bay. Here's my review which may help you out:

The Cheesecake Factory @ the Fashion Valley Mall is very loud and defiinitely family friendly (I can speak from experience, lol), and has great food! The Broken Yolk would be a great choice for you guys as well.
Also, I don't know what resort you're thinking of staying at but the Paradise Point is GREAT! Excellent family resort, the kiddies would love it.
there's some pretty casual Mexican restaurants in Old Town that would probably work...
Kids LOVE Casa Guadalajara
They would also love Corvette Diner
You could also look into Stone Brewery after the Wild Animal Park. It's good food, in the area, and has a great outdoor area someone could bring your daughter out to run around if she gets fussy.
If you do Stone make reservations! I love eating there...great atmosphere and good food. Not sure if they have a kid friendly menu though.
There is a Phils BBQ about 15 minutes west of the Wild Animal Park in San Marcos. Its right off of the 78 and San Marcos Blvd.
This looks awesome, but it's out of our price range. We really want to stay under $250/night. I have a suite booked at the Doubletree, but H is turned off buy some negative reviews on trip advisor. Hmm. We'll see.
Thanks for the other recommendations! My kids love Mexican so Casa Guadalajara looks fun. Looks like Stone is remodeling right now.
We booked through Bookit.com and got an amazing rate (averaged $100/night), so try them. Also, you can get a discounted rate (and other perks) by joining the "Destination Delivers" loyalty club (free) and booking through them: http://destinationdelivers.com/signup/
FYI, the resort is a very short drive from the airport and you can walk to Sea World from there, it's so easy to get around to everything. The resort is so pretty and tropical and has all kinds of pools... have I said how GREAT this resort is? lol.
HTH!!
