Greys 4/19 spoilers
i thought last night was pretty good.
I liked seeing Bailey so affected by the fear of kidnapping, that it was almost paralyzing her in the OR, her freak out in the daycare -- not that i wanted her son to be kidnapped, but i always appreciate the glimpses of true emotion from Bailey.
Yang?? so they're making it appear that she will leave. is she leaving the show? or will her and Owen reconcile? She did start to show a touch of softness towards him this episode.
My heart kept breaking for Weber. ugh, just breaking because he always loved his wife so deeply throughout this alzheimers.... and I know he still loves her which is why he let her be happy, but I just was really so touched in his scenes last night.
Re: Greys 4/19 spoilers
The Richard/Adele scenes made me want to cry. Especially the last one where he said goodbye. I just can't imagine how he would be feeling.
Regarding the 5th years and the actors negotiations, no one has said if contracts have been renewed or not, so we all truly don't know who, if anyone, is leaving Seattle Grace. I hope the media doesn't spoil any of that so we can find out via the show and the characters.

Ugh... my heart was breaking for Weber. That was so sad I can't even imagine.
I'm kind of wondering if Owen will leave... kind of bow out of the scene since he efffed Christina over... if they're wanting to go the whole they can't work together angle that is.
I kept hugging my daughter during the episode... I can't imagine your child getting kidnapped.
It's my worst nightmare for sure but I don't know that I would be as crazy about it as Bailey.
Did anyone catch Meredith at the end?? It looks like she is interviewing somewhere too - but how would/could you do that with a baby when your husband is in Seattle?
He would have to be the trailing spouse. He's Derek Shepherd. He's supposed to be on of the top neurosurgeons in the country. I'm sure any hospital across the country would be more than willing to bring him onto their staff. But Mer deserves the opportunity to go wherever is best for her for her fellowship. I don't actually think she'll go, but he himself told her she had to at least pursue it.
I think it was kind of crummy of Christina to act like Meredith "should" fly to Boston and interview instead of staying in Seattle....
I get that your career is important, but she is happy with Derek and Zola where she is at. Christina has no concept of what life is like with a husband and child to care for, and what sacrifices/choices you have to make with a family.
I liked this episode a lot.
They'd go with her. When they met her at the airport, Derek talked about how there were other houses and other hospitals in/around Boston.
ETA: I think it's highly likely that Pompeo is leaving and will take the job in Boston. I'm not sure how they'll handle that with losing Shepherd too, but we'll see.

however I would rather Shonda choose an end date for the show and work towards it, unlike ER where it just went on forever even after the original cast was gone.
contracts are still up in the air for Ellen, Patrick, Sandra, and the actor that plays Karev I believe. We will learn about contract renewel in the next couple of months, just like we did for TR Knight and Katherine Heigl. So it won't really be a surprise in the fall when we find out who stays and who goes, they'll probably just do a cliffhanger like they did at the end of the season when George and Izzy were maybe dead.

I heard that Meredith and Derek are gone after this season, which makes me sad. I hope that I got bad information!

As a wife and mom, this episode just made me so sad watching Adele and the girl that had been kidnapped. Two horrible nightmare scenarios.
Very well acted though. I love Bailey. Wish she'd gone back and apologized to that daycare worker though!

Yes, Meredith was suppose to start her residency in Boston but then came home when her mother was placed in the nursing home.
Derek was from NYC, when he and Addison got a divorce, he gave her the townhouse, etc.
I hope they renew their contracts than because I will probably stop watching without them.

I'm not a fan of the actress who played the kidnapped girl (in everything I've seen her in she always has the same expression on her face). But, I thought that case and the Adele/Richard storyline was well done and heartbreaking. When Adele didn't remember the wedding or their song or anything it was just awful.
On one hand, I think a lot of the characters are kind of out of storylines (who else are they going to sleep with in the hospital?), but I wouldn't necessarily want to see them go.

Agreed. More importantly, I feel like these two have already had their share of relationship (even life) low points. A continuation of their story would either be very boring or very upsetting and/or depressing. They're happy. It's time for them to go the way of Doug & Carol.
