Trouble in Paradise
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Tell me about it please. What happens if I sign up? Other than learning my best and worst traits by getting sorted into a house, I mean. What do you do once you get there?
I agree with everything that muddled said. You should listen to her. -ESDReturns
Re: s/o pottermore
It is a time sucker! Addictive. You walk through each chapter of the book, finding items to collect along the way - also, notes from JK Rowling on her inspiration, etc. You get to practice potions, spells.
its awesome, and a little embarassing that Im totally into it. LOL
You get lots of extra information about the books from Rowling herself. Right now I think the only book available is Sorcerer's Stone... but the rest will be released slowly and you get cool backstory and additional information that wasn't included in the books at all (like how Professor McGonagall's parents met, things she removed from the story, etc).
You also compete for house points. You win points by brewing potions, casting spells and wizarding duels
Currently Reading: Don Quixote by Miguel De Cervantes
Overall though, it's basically an illustrated conflated text, though a rather expansive one... I'm kind of bummed that I don't get to actually read Hogwarts, A History, even though I found it in the game.
How does having friends help you?
Did you get sorted yet??
Aw. Cute that you are having so much fun LOSING!
WOOHOO! Only the best, right? lol
What's this money thing?
Do they want you to actually buy stuff or do they just give you an allowance every semester or something?
Well you start out with 500 and I bet you can go get more each year maybe? I hope anyway.
You find galleons along the way, tho I'm sure you've figured that part out already, since this thread is a few days old. Another good tip I got is, don't pay for bezoars! Ch. 17, in the hospital wing there's a bezoar that you can collect in the medicine cabinet on the right. Every time you use it in a potion you can go back and collect it again.
I wish I had figured that out sooner, I spent about 100 galleons buying the bezoars trying to get the Antidote for Common Poisons right.
Also, I'm RainSword23865 in Gryffindor, if anyone wants to add me.
