Recommend your knitting project
I'm looking for something easy and simple that s not a scarf but can provide the simple feeling of knitting. I suffer from panic disorder and severe depression and I am currently in an outpatient treatment. I am a crafter who has knitted before but I just need something to keep my hands busy. Thanks in advanced.
Re: Recommend your knitting project
Check out www.knitty.com and www.lionbrand.com and www.ravelry.com for great patterns! A hat or maybe some baby toys/blankets/hats could be great! (there are lots of charities looking for knit baby-stuff)
Some of my favorite are:
This hat
and This beret
Bazinga!
Liz's Yarn
This afghan isn't very hard at all but the results are lovely. Here's the version I made:
Best of luck with your treatment.
I would second going to ravelry.com and using their advanced pattern search to see what you like. You can look for free patterns, different weight yarn, ease of use, etc. You can always start with something like dishcloths, then work on something that's in the round or uses increases and decreases just for something different.
Hope it's a great therapy for you!
