  You mean for maintaining your cool blond color?

  I just used Aveda's purple conditioner (forget what it's called) and was always happy w the results.

  Recently a stylist sold me on Bumble & Bumble's shampoo & conditioner (saying you MUST use them together-- the shampoo opens the shaft, the conditioner deposits). It was too drying on my hair.

  Yeah that is why I asked - I have read a few reviews that say the shampoo is drying, so I was thinking maybe I'd just use the conditioner once a week.  My hair is already dry, I don't need it even more dry   Yeah, to keep the brassy away, I'd only use it about once a week if that. I don't want it to alter my color too much.

  I use shampoo made for silver hair (purple) at least once to twice a week and it's not drying at all!  In fact, it actually makes my hair softer and nicer. I use Clynol (got it at Sally's Beauty).  I leave it in for a few minutes and it keeps my blond hair from getting too brassy but it doesn't change my colour.

  I use shimmer lights shampoo once a week. The purple in the conditioner wasn't nearly as bright as the shampoo and I haven't had problems with drying.

  You should use them both either once or twice a week. Joico and Matrix both have good ones.
