If I knew how to post a picture of my new bike (a Parlee TT with Di2), I would. But, I can say this... it makes me faster!
I did a duathlon in the wind and cold today (about 45 degrees), and placed 3rd in my age group. I haven't been doing any speed work for my running because I'm trying to rebuild my base for longer distance triathlons. But, the two runs were 2-mile trail runs. My first was done in 18:04 and the second in 18:33, so I was glad that they were close in pace. But, my bike split for 10 miles was 31:29! I was hoping to go under 30 minutes, but the wind was insane (20-30mph). I am happy to say that my bike split was faster than the woman who placed first overall (she's a much stronger runner, obviously). In fact, I had the 35th fastest bike split (out of almost 300 racers). Loved riding my new bike. Electronic shifting ROCKS!!
I'm re-entering the world of racing after injury kept me sidelined for a few years. This was a huge boost for my confidence.
Re: AW - duathlon on my new bike!
No way. With that weather and course description, I'm pretty sure I was taking photos at your race.
I probably don't have any of you though because I was trying to get Calvin. That meant I missed the fastest racers each time I moved.
HA! DH was also taking pictures. He raced Battenkill last weekend and didn't feel like racing in the cold this week! Hope Calvin did well!
ha, i want to google it but i am resisting because i know i will want it!
OP, congrats on your race! duathlons are the best because you dont need to get wet, hehe.
This is my first tri bike and I got a good deal. I'm not sure I would have paid full retail!
No, the frame is a stock frame. I guess the kit is custom, then.
Except the swim is my strongest part!

i didnt know that! so you, joenelli and susie are all swimmers. freaks
Yes, although it doesn't mean much if you can't ride or run!
As DH spent the winter building the bike (and cursing while setting up the Di2), he just kept saying, "you'd better be fast!" Such support.
