S/o of "loose ends" in BK's post

I give BK a lot of credit for wanting to tie up the loose ends with the doucher she was texting.  I try really hard to be honest with guys when I'm not feeling it and make sure there is some sort of "yup, we're done" even though it would be a lot easier to just ignore and move on.  I guess my thinking is I'd hope a guy would do the same so I wasn't left wondering.

Guess I'm just thinking *outloud*....and trying everything in my power to avoid working on my paper!

Re: S/o of "loose ends" in BK's post

  • I believe in dating karma, and I know I don't like when people leave me hanging so I try not to do the same thing.  I'll ignore first messages if I am not interested, but if I am talking to someone I don't like pulling a disappearing act.  Plus, once you cut it off you don't really have to worry about them coming back again which is nice.
  • I wouldn't just stop talking to someone that I had actually met.

Someone that I texted/talked to that was being rude and weird... I don't see the need to continue the discussion.

  • I'll always say something if I'm not interested. Even though I just started on Match I've gotten a couple of messages or winks from someone I'm just not interested in. If they just wink I'll click that little button that says thanks but no thanks. If they message me I'll message them back to say as much.

If I'm texting with someone I wouldn't just stop talking to them. I'd either tell them I'm not feeling it or let it fizzle out naturally. It's quick and easy. I'd appreciate someone to do that for me so I do it for others.

  • That's actually one reason I quit online dating. I just got so sick of having to "Break the news" to guys that I wasn't interested. I hate having to do it, but I also hate being the rude girl that just disappears.

This pretty much sums up how I feel about it.

The day I left was just my beginning.
