In light of my previous question, I want to know:
What's the oldest thing in your closet that you still wear?
I have two sweaters from Express that I bought in 2006 and I still wear them in the winter. They definitely don't look 6 years old.
And if ratty old t-shirts count, I still wear old sorority ones to bed that are now nearly 12 years old.

Re: Another clothes question
For clothes to wear to bed, I have a lot of tshirts from about 12 years ago. I also have a suuuuper ratty Cowboys tshirt that I got when I was 3. It has a bunch of holes, and I used to wear it to dye my hair in high school. But I still wear that to bed sometimes. I can't part with it.
For clothes that I wear out of the house...I don't think I have anything particularly old. I just got rid of an old AE tshirt that was about 10 years old and a pair of Express jeans that were about 8 years old. Other than that, nothing is more than a year or two old.
I have been the same size since 2000, so I would say that 1/3 to half of my clothes I have had for over 5 years. This does not stop me from buying new clothes every season though.
Andy has t-shirts from 1994 (they're dated), the oldest t-shirt I have is a Penn State shirt from 1997. Its a youth large and yes I wear it probably twice a month.
I have a ratty Warped Tour 2002 t-shirt that I still wear. I even wear it in public sometimes because I really don't care about my appearance at the grocery store
Other than that, I still have some hooded sweatshirts that I've had since HS ('00-'04) and a few sweaters from the same time period.
My entire wardrobe is pretty dated TBH.
I'd say easily about 1/4 of my wardrobe is from my junior/senior year of hogh school. I don't beat my clothes up too badly and a lot are still my style. Oldest thing I still wear to work would be a green cardigan I got from Delias my junior year of highschook and it's in great shape still because it's such a signature piece I only wear it a couple times a year in spring/summer. That makes it 10 years old.
I have a tshirt from my freshman year of high school that I love and still wear around the house/ to sleep/ to work out in. Specifically, it is a Homecoming tee from 1999. So, that's 13 years old. No holes, good condition.
The oldest piece of clothing other than that was a sweater from 2004 from Express that I still wear- 8 years old- I attribute it not being nasty to 3 California winters in that time and really not wanting to believe I was back in a place with winter for another year.
Stand up for something you believe in.
I have a few things that are aging- sweatpants from college and some tshirts. Mark made me pack up most of the nostalgic items and put them in a box downstairs to keep me from wearing them. I also have a shirt from my dad's high school and college days that I still keep (early 70's) but I dont wear them a ton. I love them but dont want them to fall apart.
I have decent-looking shirts from my freshman year of college, so they're 11 years old. And a few sweaters from college that are 8-11 years old.
My favorite pair of sweatpants is at least 10 years old. My roommate's BFF left them in my closet so I "acquired" them.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
I have pajama pants from Old Navy that I specifically remember my sister's first husband buying for me the Christmas that they were first dating - so 1998.
But the very oldest I think is I still have a t-shirt from girl scout camp. It still fits, as I was a pretty large child. I sleep in it. You can still see some of the signatures from where we all signed each other's shirts at the end of camp. ETA: girl scout camp was in 1994.

No lie, just last weekend I got rid of a sweater that I owned since I was 14. I probably last wore it in 2006 (so at that point, it was 12 years old) and realized I was just holding onto it for sentimental reasons.
I definitely have some work pants that I've had since 2003 or so that I can still get away with. And definitely some tshirts from the mid- 1990s.
