My long run took me FOOOOOREVER yesterday!

I planned on 11 miles. I tried a different route without preplanning the mileage. It ended up being 12. I am sooooo stinking slow on my long runs. And hills suck major arse. and it didn't help that I had to climb 234 stairs at the end of my run because my DH made me suck it up and wouldn't come pick me up and save me. I ran my last half marathon faster than I did this 12 miles.

On the bright side it was gorgeous yesterday. About 70 degrees, I ran along the beach and it was just perfect in that regard.

I am so sore today.

  • Stairs at the end of my long run would make me grouchy. I had to chase the kids at the mall yesterday after my run, & I eventually bribed them with frozen yogurt to slow down. I was just shuffling along. And totally agree on the weather - it makes all the difference! Loved running in the sunshine.

Running along the beach & 70 degree weather is something I miss about living on the west coast!

    PS-Sorry your run was crappy!

  • I hate that feeling. Mine felt strangely long as well, but the rising sun was definitely worth the run.
