Good morning

Morning ladies.

How was everyone's weekend?

Mine was uneventful, and packed full of errands and cleaning.  It was a rainy weekend, and raining like crazy today, so it was good to get some inside things done around the house.

Zach figured out how to climb out of his crib lastnight, so it looks live toddler beds are in our near future.  Seriously, where has the time gone, I can't believe how fast they are growing up.

Re: Good morning

  • Good Morning!

This weekend was busy but it was fun. The contractor was at the house working so I didn't have to go work there, but we had baseball all weekend. It is also cold here which is crazy. It was in the mid 80's for over a month but its in the 60's now and in the 30's at night. I am afraid we got our season's mixed up.

  • Good morning!!

My weekend was pretty good.  Derek didn't get home until 1am on Friday night (well, Saturday morning I guess) so that sort of sucked.  We slept in a bit on Saturday and then got some things done around the house.  Derek helped me hang most of the art in the nursery, which is exciting.  It's allllllmost done in there.

He was off golfing with Tim and some guys for most of the afternoon.  My mom came over and was going to help me organize the new kitchen, but we discovered that we need for Derek to be done the rest of drawers first, soo, we just hung out for a bit.  That night she and my step-dad took Derek and I out for dinner to celebrate his birthday.

Yesterday was more sleeping in (got to get it in while we can, right?) and then my dad and step-mom took us out for lunch to celebrate Derek's birthday.  Lots of meals out.  Then I took a nap.  Ha.

We spent the night on the couch working on getting caught up on this season of Bones.  We finished all the ones on Netflix, so I downloaded this season.

Today I'm off for a Biophysical Profile of little Chewy at the hospital.  Fingers crossed he's head down!!

  • FX Chewy is head down!

My weekend was really good! I ended up hosting my sisters birthday party at my house on Saturday. It was a lot of fun we had a 20 people over and I set out a Mexican buffet with beef and chicken tacos, tostadas, taco salads, nachos with all the fixins, and of course margaritas. The weather was perfect so we were able to get out the slip n' slide for the kids!

Sunday we slept in to recover from the party then ran some errands and got the house put back in order.

Today it's supposed to be in the 80's, woohoo! I'm going to try to talk my coworkers into eating lunch outside today and then I'm going to count down the hours until 5:00, race home put some shorts and enjoy the sunshine!

  • Good luck today, raynes. FX that Chewy is head down for you.

My weekend was crazy busy but very good. My Sister got into town around 9 on Friday night. We stayed up too late talking and catching up. I got my house into pretty good shape before she got there so I was happy about that.

My mom arrived around noon on Saturday. We started working on cakepops and pretzels sticks right away. We turned my kitchen into a complete disaster of bridal greens and blues. In the evening I had a housewarming/30th birthday party to attend. I brought my mom and sister along. We all had a good time.

Yesterday was the bridal shower. Everything turned out really cute and we had a great turnout. It was a great day overall and really nice to see all of our family. By the time I got home and unloaded everything and got my mom and sister packed up and on their way home, it was about 6. I was so exhausted that I did nothing for the rest of the evening. I'm still pretty exhausted today but am doing my best to get through the day.

I plan to run out at some point today to shop for a baby shower gift for my SIL. I'd really like to get in a workout tonight as well, but that's up in the air depending on how tired I am by the time I get home. I really hope to get to bed early tonight. Have a great day ladies!

  • Good morning!

This weekend DH and I hung around Piedmont Park for the Dogwood art festival. It was beautiful weather and we hung out all day watching a dog frisbee competition and looking at art. We also ate some amazing crab cakes from a Maryland Crab vendor. Delicious.  I wore my running watch to see how far we walked this weekend 17 miles! Yikes.

This week should go by quickly. It's getting close to DH's birthday and I'm hoping I can keep my big trap shut and keep his surprise Birthday gift a secret.

  • Good morning, ladies.

We had a good weekend, but I never get everything done that I plan on doing.  We got a 'new' car Friday night, so I got to drive it all weekend.  Love it, and it gets way better mileage than the truck.  Yesterday we had a good bike ride, and then grilled chicken and burgers.  I got the garden planter all planned out, so all we need now is the materials and I can get it done.  I don't want to miss the growing season, so I've got to get busy.

    Have a great day, everyone!

  • After ye olde pants splitting incident, I went out on Sunday for some new clothes... Came back significantly poorer. But, hopefully I'll only have to purchase a dress for a wedding I'm going to and then nothing else for the remainder of this pregnancy.

Who am I kidding? The list will probably never end. =P

I'm off today. Woke up feeling achey, woozy, with a fever and super sore throat. It kills me to lose the pay, but I'm barely functional. Sad I managed to make it through the winter without having my annual week long throat/sinus/chest virus, so I'm hoping it's not making a delayed appearance now.

  • Hello ladies.  We had a great weekend in Amsterdam.  We spent Saturday out in the countryside to see the tulip fields, which was gorgeous despite some rain.  At night we went out for dinner and wandered around the red light district (of course we had to go!).  I didn't sleep very well and was just exhausted yesterday, so we  we were lazy and just took a cruise on the canal and walked around the city some more.

We got home late last night and after looking at the calendar again, we realize we only have 1 weekend left before we head on our vacation to Italy.  And we have so much to do before then, so looks like hte next few weeks are going to be busy.  So much for just relaxing at home in the evenings and catching up on tv.

  • Good afternoon.

It was a pretty quiet weekend.  I shot some zombies, had some brunch and made a strawberry pie.  There was also some yoga and napping in there.

  • Life just seems so hectic right now.

One of  my aunts came by on Saturday to meet Madison and then we had to go out to the funeral home.  As we were driving there, I could here Madison having a poopy blowout so we had to change her when we got there.  Once she was changed, she wouldn't stop fussing so we figured she needed to eat so we only stayed a while and went to a friends house to feed and watch a little of the UFC.

Yesterday we did some newborn pictures with a friend and then went out to the funeral home again.  ILs made some extra dinner and sent us home with some.  They wanted us to stay but I really wanted to get home and just rest after our busy day.

Today we had Grandpa's funeral first thing in the morning and that made for a long morning/afternoon.  Now we're home and trying to get some rest.

I'm feeling a bit better today and hoping to maybe get out for a good walk tomorrow with DH and Madison.
