need new volumizing product

I've been using Bumble & Bumble thickening spray and styling cream for about 2 years. I feel like it stopped working --- by the afternoon, my hair is flat again and I have to pull it into a ponytail.

Can someone recommend a great volumizing product? Before B&B, I used Aveda so I'm open to going back to that.

Re: need new volumizing product

  • I use to use B&B too and gave it up for the same reason.  I now use Purelogys Root Lift and have no complaints.

  • I started using Redken Guts from recs here a while back.  Great improvement.  Then I started applying it like the girl from thesmallestthingsblog does her aquage more improvement.  Ran out of Redken and bought the aquage, just a smidge better but seems like 2 times the price.  Then I added this the Redken Volume Aerate to the mix.

  • Do you guys think the aquage is worth the price tag over the redken guts?
  • I have super fine hair and I use TIGI root boost when I want something more. On dry hair, I brush to the part I want, flip and spray, style with InStyler, then finish with Goldwell light kiss hair spray.

I haven't tried the Redken but I absolutely do think Aquage is worth its price.

  • Can you buy Aquage at Sephora or Ulta?  I looked online and I don't have any salons close by that sell it and I need to try this out.
