Need outfit ideas - Photo shoot

Hey ladies! So my family is getting together in June to take some professional photographs. I was wondering what kind of outfit I should wear? I was thinking a cute summer dress and sandals, but I'm having trouble finding something I like. I'm plus sized (16) and very busty, for what it's worth. Do you guys have any ideas?

I've browsed this site http://www.eshakti.com/default.aspx which is looking like my best option so far. Do you ladies see anything you like?

Thanks for the help!

Re: Need outfit ideas - Photo shoot

  • When we had our engagement photos done last year the photographer did a great job of telling us what shoots best:

Where proper fitting clothes - if you feel the need to tug or readjust you won't look comfortable in your photos.

Accessories are important, they convey your personality and can show the world a special piece of jewelry or heirloom you have.

Bold colors and patterns photograph great, but try to avoid neon or "hot" colors as they don't

Makeup - you want to wear a little more than your everyday look, but not so much that you don't look like you. A little extra around the eyes really makes the color of your eyes pop and photograph well.

And extra "props" like scarves, sunglasses, belts, shoes etc. can quickly be added on to give you a whole new look without changing outfits.

    Anniversary
  • Thanks so much for those tips! I'm definitely looking for something with some colour and, of course, well fitting. I'll continue my search!
  • Depending on the style of your photo shoot, my friend who is a photographer says to wear a black tshirt and jeans. If you want more color, definitely wear a solid color shirt, like red or yellow, so that the focus is more on you and your family and not the background.
