Can I train my hair?

Since moving to California, my hair has been wavier. I bought some velcro hair rollers at Target. My hair can be stubborn, and it's thick, so I'm just hoping for a bit more wave in my hair.

Can I train my hair to do this if I use them every morning? Should I have my hair slightly damp? Use a bit of hairspray before rolling them? Any tips would be so appreciated :) TIA!

Re: Can I train my hair?

  • my hair got wavier the LESS that I messed with it (and when I got off BC, but that's just hormones and probably not applicable to you). as I said in another thread, I only wash my hair about every 3 days. sometimes I blow it out. but sometimes, I wash my hair with conditioner only (no shampoo), blot it dry, and scrunch a styling lotion into my hair with my fingers. then I let my hair go. don't touch it until it dries. I've gotten a LOT of compliments on my waves doing that.
