As some of you know we're going to a wedding in FL next month. The ceremony is on the beach and the reception is in a nice banquet facility.
I've got my dress already, but I'm a little puzzled as to what H should wear. My friend told me that it should be dressier than khakis, but less formal than a suit.
Now to me, this means dress pants and a button down, but all of H's pants that fit the bill are various shades of charcoal, which to me doesn't really fit a Florida beach wedding vibe.
I've been looking online for other options, but I'm not really finding anything that would fit the bill.
Can you help me find some options? LIPs and PIPs appreciated. Thanks.
Re: Men's wedding attire question
Go Phils!!
It still depends on the formality of the wedding as to what I'll request H to wear. We moved here from the beach so we went to quite a few beach weddings.
To lots of them H wore khakis with a short sleeve button up, no tie and "dressy" flip flops. He fit right in.
There were a few that I knew would be a little more dressy based on what the men in the wedding party were wearing. For those H wore slacks and a regular button up, tucked in with shoes and a tie, but never a jacket. It was always way too hot at any beach wedding we've attended for him to suffer through a jacket. I will say at these weddings there was a wide range of dressing from both the girls and the guys - some people dressed like it was a casual beach wedding, others dressed for a "regular" wedding.
I've never been to a beach wedding that's full on cocktail or formal.
ETA: About the charcoal slacks - H has worn them to a beach wedding that was in the evening. He wore a very light blue shirt with them and no tie.
