Are you interested to see what is going to happen in France?
If Hollande wins, what do you think is going to happen?
Re: Are you interested to see what is going to happen in France?
DH's firm here is holding off on a lot of things "until after the elections." That's all I've got for you. Brilliant political analysis is not my strong suit, but my ground-level view is that people are in an election-related economic holding pattern/semi-panic.
Also, a common complaint about Sarkozy is that he is too "American-style." I always feel a little weird when people say that in front of me.
I'll just say, last time I was in France for an election, there was a riot and I was tear gassed.
Other than that, I am not following any of the stories about this.
Everyone I know here is quite nervous about the possibility of Hollande winning.
I am also disgusted that almost 20% voted Le Pen.
Same. I don't know what has gotten into the French. Are they even listening to what Hollande is saying?! I am very worried about where my country is headed.
The embassy in Costa Rica sent us the results from the French living here and it reassured me to see that Sarkozy got the majority here.
Both of these. Economically speaking, I don't think Hollande's plans will help France recover.
