    Highlights from last week? Broke my weight loss plateau and lost 2 lbs last week! On the down side this makes my runs sluggish. It will help in the long run though!

    What's your favorite "sports/health/fitness/inspirational" movie?

    Why? I loved Spirit of the Marathon. I also love baseball movies like Field of Dreams, and the Natural.

  • What event are you training for/date? NJ Marathon 5/6/12

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? M - 5 mi speedwork, Tues- OFF, Wed - 6 mi tempo, Thurs - swim/lift, Fri - 8-10 mi, Sat - OFF

    Any injuries or problems? so far so good!

    Highlights from last week? a great 20 mi confidence boost

    What's your favorite "sports/health/fitness/inspirational" movie? I don't have one...really want to see The Spirit of the Marathon though

  • What event are you training for/date? Chelanman 70.3, July 21

    What does your training schedule look like for the week?

    Sunday: 12 mile run

    Monday: off

    Tuesday: 3-5 miles (Stupid meeting so no track today)

    Wednesday: 1:30-1:45 bike

    Thursday: 30 minute bike, 20 minute run (brick session!)

    Friday: 45 minute swim, 60 minute bike

    Saturday: 5k race with friends with 3 miles extra before or after

    This week is an easier week for me! I'm excited!

    Any injuries or problems? I've just been sore. Yesterday I did zero exercise. It was much needed.

    Highlights from last week? hmmmm, I got in every single workout I needed to do, it helped I didn't have to work!

    What's your favorite "sports/health/fitness/inspirational" movie? It's not my favorite but it's my most recent "Ride the Divide".

    Why? I had never heard of the race. It was interesting to watch, good documentary.

  • What event are you training for/date? Nothing on the calendar except Marine Corps Marathon in October. I may sign up for a half somewhere in between.

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? Mon - 3M + Strength, Tues- 4M, Wed - 4xHills, Thur- 3M + Strength, Fri- Rest, Sat - 35min fartlek, Sun - 6M

    Any injuries or problems? Nope, going pretty good

    Highlights from last week? Ran the 10 mile Parkway Classic with DH, it was fun to run together. 

    What's your favorite "sports/health/fitness/inspirational" movie? Remember the Titans

    Why? I live a mile or so from the school in the movie, it's a great story that always makes me tear up

    Monday: 45 min spin; corework

    Tuesday: Treadmill speedwork; tabatas
    Wednesday:  Easy Run; corework

    Thursday:  Weights & yoga

    Friday: Spin

    Saturday: Not sure - schedule is way up in the air.  Hoping for a long run and bike ride. 

    Any injuries or problems?  The cough from hell that won't quit.

    Highlights from last week? Realizing I could add to my running time by running to the Y with my son in the jogging stroller, putting him in the nursery for an hour while I did the treadmill, and then running home.  Made the miles pass quickly.

Sunday: rest Monday: rest Tuesday: personal trainer (circuit from hell) Wednesday: 3 miles Thursday: 2-3 miles Friday: ? Saturday: Maybe a long run Any injuries or problems?  I have some sort of arch/calf pain, going to my sports medicine dr. this week  Highlights from last week? nope What's your favorite "sports/health/fitness/inspirational" movie? Bull Durham?  I honestly can't think of any others right now

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? - Mon. rest, Tues. ST legs and 4 mile run, Wed. ST arms and TKD class, Thurs. easy 4 miler, Fri. ST arms, Sat. off, Sun. Race! 

    Any injuries or problems? - just that I suck at training.  I love racing, but the training kills me! 

    Highlights from last week? - we sparred in TKD, that's always fun

    Why? - classic underdog story, plus it's true so that makes it even better

    What event are you training for/date? Lehigh Valley Half Marathon, this Sunday 4/29!!!

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? yesterday was stretching and some weights, today will be level 3 30DS and an easy 3 miles, walking on Wednesday, 2miles Thursday, rest Friday & Saturday.

    Any injuries or problems? a funny foot thing after my 8 miles, but a little rest, ice & heat and was fine on my 9 miles.

    Highlights from last week? I just keep getting faster(to me) on each long run, its pretty awesome

    What's your favorite "sports/health/fitness/inspirational" movie? mmm, I'll have to put more thought into this, but my favorite movie as a teenager was the Cutting Edge

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? C25K program 3x this week- I went Sunday, then going again Wed & Fri. Maybe some Yoga @ home tonight. DH is OOT till Thurs, so it's hard to do anything with the kids!!

    Any injuries or problems? Getting through this bursitis!! And my Dr said mayyyyybe the start of a meniscus tear on the left- nice. I felt ok Sunday- new shoes & KT tape on the left knee.

    Highlights from last week? Nothing! Took the week off!

  • What event are you training for/date? - 5K trail run on Saturday 4/28, 10 mile broad street run on Sunday May 6th

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? 

    Sunday - 5K race

    Monday - rest

    Tuesday - 30 minutes bike

    Wednesday - 8 miles (hopefully)

    Thursday - rest

    Friday - 2 miles & strength

    Saturday - 5K race

    Any injuries or problems? My calf is still hurting, at this point Im trying to take it easy and sub a run day for a bike day.  Im so nervous to run broad street without one more long run, so hopefully Wednesdays 8 miler works out

    Highlights from last week? PR my 5K by a minute! (31:28)

    What's your favorite "sports/health/fitness/inspirational" movie? documentary on the magnificent 7, the olympics womens gymnastics team from 1998. 

    Why? I was big into gymnastics at the time, and I felt like it was a glimpse into my future. haha, didn't exactly turn out that way.  And when Kerri Strug landed her vault on one leg, I still get teary eyed when I think of it!

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? : two short runs and then a 10 miler this weekend

    Any injuries or problems? : Plantar fasciitis (hasn't been bothering me, but it's there)

    Highlights from last week?: AWESOME 6 mile run on Saturday, plus did 1st ever trail run.

    What's your favorite "sports/health/fitness/inspirational" movie?: I love both Remember the Titans and The Blind Side.  They both have good messages, some humor, and fun football footage.

    What does your training schedule look like for the week?  Mon- stretch, Tues- 3 mile run, Wed- cross training, Thurs- 2 mile run + strength training, Fri - rest day, Sat- 4.5 mile run, Sun- yoga

    Any injuries or problems? knock on wood but my knee seems to be OK, just a litte sore
