How many hours of sleep do you usually get (say, on a typical weeknight)?
How many hours of sleep per night do you think your body actually needs?
If you are getting less than you think you need, what do you think is the main reason/reasons why?
What is your #1 sleep annoyance (waking up in the middle of the night, can't fall asleep, snoring H, etc.)?
Re: s/o Sleep pole
1. Usually 7.5 hours
2. 30
3. Because I stayed up too late reading or watching tv. I very rarely have a hard time falling asleep when I want to.
4. H snoring. How his kidneys are still functioning (with all the punches and knees to them) is a miracle!
Currently Reading: Don Quixote by Miguel De Cervantes
Typically 7.5 to 8
7.5 to 8 is good, less is okay, too much more and I actually feel even more tired the next day.
I get plenty of sleep!
#1 annoyance is H snoring. I kick the *** out of him, I sweet talk him, I mean talk him, I pinch his nose until he chokes and stops breathing and then has to breathe through his mouth, I physically force him to roll over, nothing works. Once I'm asleep it doesn't bother me, but he usually falls asleep first.
Typical is ~7 hours. I probably need between 7-8. I'm a natural night owl, so it's impossible for me to go to bed before a certain time. My number one annoyance is not being able to sleep once I want to - either because of too much environmental noise or because my brain won't shut off.
How many hours of sleep do you usually get (say, on a typical weeknight)? I sleep at least 8 hours a night. Sometimes maybe 7.5 if I can't put a book down.
How many hours of sleep per night do you think your body actually needs? I am at my best when I get about 8.5 to 9 hours of sleep.
If you are getting less than you think you need, what do you think is the main reason/reasons why? It's hard to go to bed earlier, although I try to make an effort because of the difference in being tired and feeling good.
What is your #1 sleep annoyance (waking up in the middle of the night, can't fall asleep, snoring H, etc.)? Getting up to go to the bathroom in the middle night and my bed hog FI. Sometimes I wake up with just a little piece of the bed and his knees jammed up against my back.
I think I need 9 hours of sleep or something ridiculous. Luckily, I am able to work with that these days.
I am generally fine once I fall asleep, but it is not all that uncommon for me to lie awake for hours and hours. That hasn't happened in a couple of months, though.

How many hours of sleep do you usually get (say, on a typical weeknight)?
8 - 9
How many hours of sleep per night do you think your body actually needs?
About 8 - 9
If you are getting less than you think you need, what do you think is the main reason/reasons why?
If I get less, it's usually because of my 3 year old!
What is your #1 sleep annoyance (waking up in the middle of the night, can't fall asleep, snoring H, etc.)?
Due to DH's job, he will sometimes get called or will come home in the middle of the night. Usually, though, its when he gets called in that I have a REALLY hard time falling back to sleep.

Wow, we have some good sleepers here!
1. 7.5 - 8
2. 8 - 9
3. Mainly a lack of discipline. I am busy, yes, but not so busy I can't just go to bed on time.
4. Ever since having a kid I often wake and am wide awake for like an hour somewhere between 2 and 4am. I'm thinking it's hormonal, as it's been subsiding gradually over time. Or maybe I'm just getting old, who knows?
How many hours of sleep do you usually get (say, on a typical weeknight)? 5-7
How many hours of sleep per night do you think your body actually needs? 8+
If you are getting less than you think you need, what do you think is the main reason/reasons why? Yes, I'm getting less than I believe I need. I don't go to bed early enough for the time that I have to get up in the morning.
What is your #1 sleep annoyance (waking up in the middle of the night, can't fall asleep, snoring H, etc.)? FI's snorning. He gets kicked and punched throughout the night to shut him up. He never remembers me doing this. He usually just moves further to the edge of the bed instead of rolling over.
How many hours of sleep per night do you think your body actually needs? like 15, lol.
If you are getting less than you think you need, what do you think is the main reason/reasons why? Because I'm an adult and need to do adult things instead of lying indolently in bed all damn day.
What is your #1 sleep annoyance (waking up in the middle of the night, can't fall asleep, snoring H, etc.)? I sleep through like, anything, so it's taken a lot of convincing my H that just because Joaquin is rolling around and talking to herself doesn't mean she needs him to go get her. Also, if he's being insomnia-y, he'll just chill out in bed reading with the light on. Which doesn't wake me up all the way, but I sleep way less deeply.

How many hours of sleep do you usually get (say, on a typical weeknight)? 7 or 8
How many hours of sleep per night do you think your body actually needs? About 8 to 9. If I can get 9 hours in once a week then I'm good all week.
If you are getting less than you think you need, what do you think is the main reason/reasons why? I get plenty, on nights I'm short it's usually because I slept in the day before and wasn't tired in time to get normal sleep.
What is your #1 sleep annoyance (waking up in the middle of the night, can't fall asleep, snoring H, etc.)? My freaking DH and his bed hogging, loud breathing, horrible sleeping habits. I wake up at least once a night because he's crammed up against me, breathing in my ear and pushing me off the bed. Last night, I was sandwiched between him and the cat and it was like a million degrees in the bed and I just kind of wanted to cry (because I'd woken out of a deep sleep and the rational thing like push them off wasn't coming to mind, just despair).

4. The baby. Second worst sleep annoyance is our creaking bed. The thing is pretty new, but it creaks. Wth.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! You're here! with a second kid! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Hellloooooo. I've missed this board. Now that I don't have enough time in a day, I just absolutely had to come back here and add another time-eater to my day.
I'm glad to see you! Feel free to let us suck your time up all day long!
How many hours of sleep do you usually get (say, on a typical weeknight)? 7-8
How many hours of sleep per night do you think your body actually needs? 9
If you are getting less than you think you need, what do you think is the main reason/reasons why? Get up early for work. I typically go to bed between 10-10:30...where did my night owl self go?
What is your #1 sleep annoyance (waking up in the middle of the night, can't fall asleep, snoring H, etc.)? Waking up in the middle of the night. It can be really difficult for me to fall back asleep after waking up at 3 am.
How many hours of sleep do you usually get (say, on a typical weeknight)?
6-8 hours, usually around 7ish
How many hours of sleep per night do you think your body actually needs?
It looooves around 10.
If you are getting less than you think you need, what do you think is the main reason/reasons why?
Who in the hell has time to sleep 10 hours on a school night?! I'd never get anything done at home!
What is your #1 sleep annoyance (waking up in the middle of the night, can't fall asleep, snoring H, etc.)?
Getting up to pee. I do that a lot.
How many hours of sleep do you usually get (say, on a typical weeknight)?
Maybe five
How many hours of sleep per night do you think your body actually needs?
I use to swear that I couldn't function on less than nine. Yes, nine.
If you are getting less than you think you need, what do you think is the main reason/reasons why?
See siggy. Seriously though, work from home + coursework means I get cracking after dinner and keep it up until I've reach the point where I'm not producing anything useful. Or I've wandered over to TIP.
What is your #1 sleep annoyance (waking up in the middle of the night, can't fall asleep, snoring H, etc.)?
My only sleep problem is the lack of time for it. The Squirm is a pretty good sleeper these days, but seven am is playtime whether I've been up half the night or not.
