Summer business work shirts?

I'm in desperate need of summer business work shirts.

The catch is that I do not shop at Gap or it's subsidiaries, or Loft. They need to be in the $30-$40 price range.

A big old middle finger to you, stupid Nest.

Re: Summer business work shirts?

  • Just a thought, get some cute necklaces, I am a plain jane who wears shirts from gap with dress pants a belt and jazz them up with different necklaces. The necklaces will add jazz to your shirts, also if you look in clearance at tjmax you can find some really good work shirts for under $20.
  • My problem is that none of my shirts currently fit. :o/ I need to get completely new ones.

  • Try Express. They have BOGO 50% off on all shirts.
  • Banana is my go to, but since that's out I'd say Limited or Target.

  • Lands End or Lands End Canvas. I also like Brooks Brother Outlet.

  • What do you mean by "work shirts"? Like, button-down oxford-ish?

Or any shirt that is acceptable to wear to work, lol.

If it's the former, ditto L.L. Bean.

  • I was in The Limited last week and they had LOTS of shirts on sale and pretty much all were work appropriate.

I was wondering the same thing.

I like Dillards for classic button-down blouses. They carry Ralph Lauren, Jones New York, and a couple of other brands, and always seem to have a very good selection in a wide range of sizes (petite, misses, womens).

  • I was thinking button down, but I'm not too picky.

  • I'm nosy, why no Gap and/or its subs and Loft?

My suggestion is Macy's INC line, on sale.

Repeated labor infractions by both companies, with the Loft being rated one of the worst in the country. It's a personal boycott that I've managed to stick to for years.

  • I can't remember if Liz Claiborne fits under those umbrellas or not but they size button downs to bigger chested women if that is an issue for you.

But yeah, I would just hit a department store and look around.

  • I've gotten some great button down blouses from Eddie Bauer. I love them because they don't wrinkle. If you catch them on sale they should fall within your price range.

I've also seen a lot of great tops at Target lately, although I haven't perused their button downs yet.
