Intro to moi.
Hello all!
I've lurked on this board a bit, and thought that I would throw out a quick intro.
I'm in my early 30s, have one kiddo, and degrees in women's studies and costume design (although I've been a SAHM since Bean was born). I'm working towards a master's program in fashion history. I'm very into the analytical side of fashion & costume.
Personally, I try to gear my style towards classics rather than trends (although I'm loving the colored denim trend). I adore texture and fine details, and mixing hard with soft.
My favorite stores are Nordstrom and Neiman's (and truly love their outlet counterparts!), I pretty much only wear Chanel skin & beauty products, and believe in the transcendent power of foundation garments.
My favorite TV shows are Mad Men and The West Wing, favorite movies are Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Almost Famous, and my favorite musicians are Bruce Springsteen and The Beatles.
Oh, and Bean and I met Tim Gunn today. He's just as warm and kind as you'd hope he would be.
