do you have any study tips?
I am struggling to read long, long chapters and retain the information. Any advice?
I am currently writing down all bolded words and completing the end of chapter exercises. I do okay on the quizzes but I'd of course love to do better.
Any recommendations is greatly appreciated.

Re: do you have any study tips?
I changed my name
Break it up. Read a section, do some practice problems (if there are any in your subject?) then read another section and do more practice problems, then take a break.
I know back in the day I would outline the chapter and as I read it I would fill in the details of the outline so that I didn't lose track of the big picture.
Otherwise I just plow through and hope that repetition from homework and quizzes gets it locked into my brain. I'm a tactile learner and have a short attention span so reading long chapters tends to cause snooze fests for me.
By the by, what type of learner are you? (Tactile, visual, etc.)
Definitely a see and do type of learner. So, both of those.
I found this page but there's tons more out there once you figure out which style is your main. (People can be hybrids too)

I'm primarily visual with auditory mashed in.
Yes.
