?My hats off to the men in this room too that are raising kids ? I love that, and I love the fact that there are also women out there that don?t have a choice and they must go to work and they still have to raise the kids,? Romney said. ?Thank goodness that we value those people too. And sometimes life isn?t easy for any of us.?
Re: ann romney needs to stfu
She's really something.
Hey, tool, raising kids is called "being a grownup" among those of us who have kids. We don't need patronizing pats on our little heads.
That woman grates on me.
It is so nice when the out of touch tell you that you are adorable with your little career and such.
"Awww look at you working AND raising children. How quant."
Yes, it's so great that some women are forced to go back to work weeks after giving birth because of their economic situation! Yaayyyy!! I love it!
Life isn't easy for any of us!
I value her publicist who has to try to correct her and fix these comments all.the.time!
Who is her publicist/speech writer? Somebody is gettin paid to help her prepare, right? If not, she needs to spend less time on her hair and more time on some key talking points that don't patronize men who "raise kids" and all working moms.
Are you united with the CCOKCs?
I used to hate Mitt Romney with the heat of a thousand suns.
This time around, I admit I'm starting to find Mitt (and Ann) almost charming. They are just SO out of ouch, so befuddled, so bad at ever sounding sincere....and they both have such tin ears. It's almost startng to get endearing,
Mitt always came across as a slick car salesman type to me in the old days. I found it repugant. He still has that car salesman-like willingness to say whatever he thinks it takes to close the deal - but somehow this time it's so baldfaced it comes over more as the earnest desire of a surpreme nerd to please.
I must be getting soft in my old age. Don't worry though. When I say 'almost endearing', I don't mean 'Ima vote for him!'
And Obama doesn't? LOL
Wait, what does Obama have to do with this? I thought we were discussing the Romneys.
I thought she was referring to this common politician state, no?
No, I would have to say that Obama doesn't; he's certainly not in Romney's league when it comes to reversing himself (several times in the same day if necessary) or lying about his stance.
