LM Tinted moisturizer: reg vs. oil free?

I just bought some yesterday. After we figured out the shade, I asked for a tube of the regular. This morning I pulled it out of the shopping bag and realized she gave me oil free by mistake. I used it anyway since Nordstrom has a good return policy. While I like how it looks on, I did not like the consistency (found it hard to blend) and I could feel it on my face (maybe felt dry?) even though it looked very natural and not heavy. It wasn't really a time saver compared to my usual lotion and liquid makeup.

I know people rave about this product, so should I give the regular a try? Is it easier to apply and/or feel more moisturizing? Thanks!

I have combination skin and I prefer the regular one as the oil free I find to be a little drying. I would return it for the regular if you don't need oil free!

I use the oil-free, but that's because I tend to have oily skin. I do not use it as a moisturizer though, I have face lotion that I apply first. It's actually a misnomer since even the ladies there say it is not actually a moisturizer. I use lotion, then primer, then TM.

Ah ha, thanks! I was thinking it would go on easier over a primer, I'll give it a try, then exchange as needed.
