What ended up happening with the cleaning lady yesterday?

Re: Ojo
I let her know we wouldn't be needing her anymore and that I could keep up with the house just as well as she's been doing. H only cleaned half the kitchen floor, so there was that really stark line...it's still there and I know for a fact she mopped. I left her a note and asked her to please be sure to get the corners of the walls and door frames where the dogs brush against them (they get dirty, obviously), and she got some door frames but not others. She said she hoped the house looked good after her visit (meh, mediocre) and said the reason she has trouble cleaning is because she fell off her ATV. She said she'll miss the dogs.
If I only wanted a half-ass clean house, I could do that for free with minimal effort. Now that H is back though, I can put him in charge of all the stuff I haven't been able to do. She got me through my first and second trimesters, which I'm thankful for, but her level of work isn't worth the money anymore.
You'll be fine, you're a strong smart woman.
Side note - you were talking about your ABU fashion show. Are you still in boots or have you moved to soft shoes?
Obviously I only have one kid but I feel like we found our routine within 6 weeks and the house didn't burn down nor was it uninhabitable because of dirty floors and unscrubbed bathrooms.
I promise it will work itself out...it just needs time. Being a person with no patience this was something I didn't believe until afterwards.
Well at least your shoes are comfy!
