Anyone have the Sultan Alsarp storage foundation/box spring?
This thing looks genius. Anyone have it? Reviews online were either totally loved it or totally hated it (many had older models also).
IMO, why not try to have all of the storage you can get. If we got it, it would be full size and in our guest room.
Re: Anyone have the Sultan Alsarp storage foundation/box spring?
i saw this and thought it was brilliant! i am curious to see the reviews as well.
I don't quite get it...you would have to lift the whole mattress up to get at the storage? It seems much less functional than storage drawers, or even under-the-bed boxes. It's hard enough to get a corner of the mattress up to tuck the sheet, I can't imagine lifting the whole thing and then also having hands free to haul out stuff? Is it on a lever or something?
The part that lifts up is attached to a sort of shock/piston system (I can't describe it and I dont know exactly what they are called) but it helps sort of propel the top up and once it's all the way up it latches and stays opened until you close it (you have to pull up on it to unlatch it, and then push down to lower it until it latches fully closed again).
