NSOR: Fit chicks come in please!

So I've officially lost 15 lbs. yay!!  I want to celebrate with buying myself some kickass workout clothes.  I'd like some decent sports bras but I like the long ones so I don't have to wear anything over them.  I have a long torso, I'm probably an XL and a C cup.  I really want something that helps flatten my stomach and keep my boobs from bouncing around.  My workouts include running, weight training, kickboxing, etc.  Any ideas?  Also shorts that help flatten my stomach and hips (I've heard the spanx ones are good?)  TIA

ETA:  Budget isn't really an issue within reason

  • I like Moving Comfort and Enell sport bras.

This! Plus costco makes some really nice knock off versions of some Lulu stuff.

I really like from Lulu: Cool racerback tanks (these are great for casual wear and working out, they dont ride up), Short Sleeve Swiftly Top (really keeps your dry and cool),  Run INspire ii Crop, Turbo or Speed shorts, RUn Ultra ii short, etc!

Also, Moving Comfort bras should work for you! They come in cup/band sizes.

I like the Enell also (I'm a D).  Also, athleta.com (it's in the gap/ON line) has some nice stuff, and you can sort by impact level.  They have a great return policy too.

  • I have to try on my moving comfort bras because some of them work well for me and some of them do not.

I am a "D" cup and when I try sports bras on in the dressing room, I jump around like crazy to make sure they stay in place. I am not sure if this is what you're supposed to do, but I really hate bouncing so I buy a cup size smaller. It smashes the babes down and they don't bounce as much.

Totally this...I usually always buy down as well (and wear 2 sports bras), but have a Moving Comfort in my actual size and it's awesome and super comfy.

People rave about Lululemon, but I can't justify spending that much no matter how cute they are (and they are in fact pretty cute!) Lucy has some cute stuff, too if you have a store near you.

ETA: Congrats on the weight loss BTW!  Care to share some of you tips?

  • Yah, lululemon has pricey things but they are really good quality and flattering.  I also constantly get emails from Hautelook, Totsy, Zoolily, Ideeli, Giltgroup, and Rue La La that always have workout clothes that are name brands for less.

PM me if you want me to send you invites to these groups, they are daily emails that I get.

What's worked for me is just tons of exercise and totally overhauling my eating habits.  I eat 6 times a day now like 250 calories or so at a time.  And I workout 5 days a week for an hour - 2 days with a trainer, kickboxing, zumba and running.  The trainer has been pretty critical in helping me not fall off the wagon and really pushing me.

  • My 3 favs:

    Lululemon

    Athleta

    Title Nine

  • Another fan of Lululemon here.  I've had yoga pants and tops from there for years and they still look brand new.  I also find that the tops are on the longer side which I like.
