Strep throat and 1/2 on Saturday :(

I am pretty sure that I have strep throat, going to the doctor in a bit though. Last time I had it, I was in bed for 3 days.  Granted the first day was Easter Sunday, so I couldn't get to a doctor.

I don't really have a time go for my 1/2 since it's a trail run, but I don't want to be completely wiped out either.  Tell me there's hope that I'll be run ready by Saturday morning?!

Re: Strep throat and 1/2 on Saturday :(

  • that is the worst.  all that hard work and then bam! sick! :'(

is there another race closeby in the near future you could do instead?  if not, rest up, feel better, stay hydrated, and dont push your body.  take it slow and be safe.

  • That completely stinks! Rest up, and maybe you will be able to race.
  • My strep and flu swabs were both negative, so the doctor sent off my strep test, and also sent me for mono testing because of how my tonsils look.  I'm so bummed.  I don't even want to call my friend that I trained to do this with.  Maybe I'll just drive up with her and not run?  What a bummer :(
