Walker administration addresses jobs report
MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Walker administration is speaking out for the first time since a new report showed Wisconsin leads the nation in job losses over the past year.
Meanwhile, another report shows the unemployment rate improving in most parts of the state.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released figures Tuesday that showed Wisconsin lost nearly 24,000 jobs, including more than 6,000 in the private sector, from March 2011 through last month. Those numbers exceeded jobs losses in every other state.
Wisconsin Secretary of Workforce Development Reggie Newsome told WISN 12 News that those figures don't tell the whole story.
"We have real, anecdotal information that shows we're moving in the right direction and the governor's reforms are working." Newsome said. "If you look at the sentiment of employers in Wisconsin, there have been numerous surveys that indicate that employers want to hire, and plan on hiring and adding additional people and jobs in Wisconsin."
The Department of Workforce Development says four of the state's metropolitan areas, including Milwaukee, lost jobs last month while eight others gained jobs.
The DWD says all but five counties saw unemployment rates improve over the past month.
Re: FYI, in Wisconsin, anecdotes > data

I don't think it will happen.
The Democratic primary is turning into a total cluster.
They really should have been ironing things out behind the scenes to emerge with one nominee after the signatures were verified.
WTF! Common sense people!
