What did you think?
I'm getting annoyed that they give Joshua a standing ovation every single time. He's good, but he's not as fantastic as I think they give him credit for.
I thought overall everyone did a good job. My least favorite was Phillip, but he has a following.

Joshua screams every song. He over sings. I would NEVER buy his album.
I miss Colton, but he never should have sang Gaga.
I liked Phillip, but he's starting to look like a 1-trick-pony. Originally I wanted him to win, but I think now I'm rooting for Jessica.
I can't stand Skyler, but the judges seem to love her. I don't think every word in every song needs to have a twang. I usually mute her halfway through her performances.
This is the time of the year I usually lose interest in the show.
Both DH and I feel that there isn't anyone interesting enough for a decent career this year. They are all quite talented, but lack the star appeal that others in past years have held.
I could see Skylar having a modest career in country music, but nothing like Carrie Underwood (then again, did anyone think she'd be as huge as she is?)
Phillip is cool, but not nearly as awesome as Daughtry, Adam Cook, Lee Dewyze, etc. from previous years.
Jessica is obviously a great singer, but I just don't see big things with her either.
I miss Colton. He was my favorite.
I like Joshua, and would probably buy his record. He sounds like the church music I grew up with, so maybe that's why I like him.
Since Colton is gone, I want to root for Phillip, but his songs are all starting to sound alike to me. He doesn't change it up, or take any risks at all.
I like Elyse, and I hope she stays around a little longer.
Oh, and who is Elise's stylist? Her dresses are not cute every. single. week.
I agree with the OP...I'm so sick of the judges giving Joshua a standing ovation every. single. performance. He's good but he isn't that good. Phillip's my favorite out of all that's left. I agree that his songs all sound the same but then again so does Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Adele, Lady Gaga and so on because they know who they are artist wise and what material they like singing...the same goes for Phillip, IMHO.
I love country music but Skylar grates my last nerve. Every word out of her mouth when she's singing has that twang and don't see how she could make it as a country singer unless the big wigs mold her.
I also want Phillip to win. I threw him some votes last night.
I hope either Jessica or Elise leave tonight. I think Elise's voice is all over the place. She grates on my last nerve as does Jessica. LOVE Phillip!!! Love Skylar and Joshua....too bag Hollie is not ready. She has a gorgeous voice when she relaxes.
