AW: Couples BBQ Shower

The couples BBQ shower I hosted this weekend for my brother and (soon-to-be) SIL was a huge success & we had so much fun! I wanted to show off a few of my projects:

Burlap banner I painted (SIL's favorite quote):

I printed these "Chow Bags" -- they held a napkin, cutlery, salt & pepper & a wet wipe.

I made the salt & pepper packets out of small glassine bags with a sewn on paper tag:

Custom cups-- designed them in Photoshop, then used the print & cut feature on my Silhouette to cut them out. It took a little bit of playing with it to figure out how to get the most accurate cut, but I can't wait to use this for future parties-- the logo is printed on Printable Vinyl (which is waterproof!), then stuck to the frost flex cups like a sticker. They held up great & now I'm peeling the decals off so I can reuse the cups with a new design for our next party! (Color is slightly off in this pic b/c it was snapped with a cell phone.)

S'mores tags/favors:

Mason jar shaped Advice/Wishes Tags that we had guests fill out & stick to a burlap wrapped magnetic board:

For the tables, we covered them in brown kraft paper, added a burlap runner down the center, then used these mini mason jars tied with raffia as candle holders along with mason jar vases filled with wildflowers:

One of the gifts I gave the happy couple-- a casserole dish with their name etched in it:

Here are the boys (at the party) in the shirts & pants I made them last week:

I think my bro & SIL had a really good time & they loved the decorations-- they're using a lot of burlap, raffia & mason jars at their wedding (that I helped with). SIL has requested we do the advice tags at the wedding, so I need to print and cut about 125 more of those along with helping with her favors and something to leave at the hotels for out of town guests. The wedding is in less than three weeks!
