It was feeling like it was never going to happen, but I finally got an offer in writing for a job I'm excited about. I think the best part is all the time I will save now that I don't have to job hunt anymore.
I'm a little nervous since its consulting work, so I feel like I need to be really exceptional every day. I've been working in a tense environment for the last year where I hear nothing but criticism and my confidence isn't what it used to be.
What is everyone's best tips for making a good first impression at a new job?
Re: New job!
Congratulations!!
Work on making your supervisor look good and bring your best food forward every day. Sounds cheesy but it works!
Congrats!!!
Remember this is no job to small or too big for you to do. If you think it's too small just keep in mind the boss wants to have it done, and you're helping make sure that it happens. The more you support your boss the better they look, which reflects back on you. If you think the project is too big or out of your league, don't be afraid to ask for help, but also keep in mind they asked you to do the project for a reason. Usually it's because they believe you can get the job done.
