WDYT of these shoes?

I recently bought these shoes for an upcoming trip to China.  I was looking for something comfortable and stylish.  I like the ballet flats but there not as comfy as I hoped.  I love the wedges, they are so comfy, but I'm worried they look like grandma shoes.  I'm in my early 20's and usually always wear heels.  Do the wedges look like it's for someone older?

Sorry I don't know how to post PIP:

  • I would not wear any type of heel if you are planning on walking around all day.  I thought I could do it with some really comfortable camper wedges I got last summer, but my feet were killing me by the end of the day.  No matter how comfortable your shoes, walking on the ball of your foot for miles and miles on uneven surfaces (most city sidewalks) is not comfortable.

Also, if the ballet flats aren't that comfortable now, I'd return.

The flats are okay, I'm not a fan of the bow in the back, but if they are not comfortable you should probably keep looking.  I don't like the wedges (just NMS) and would worry about how comfortable they would be walking around all day, especially with the peep-toe.

  • The air bacara ballet are supposed to be pretty comfortable and I see a number of women wearing them walking around in Chicago on a daily basis.  I debated on them for a recent trip we took.  Too bad CH's FF sale just ended Monday, they were included in the 30% off!
  • The flats that pull up for me are totally different than the one CKnud posted - they're a neon blue fish scaly looking color. I definitely don't like the blue ones, but the neutral ones are okay. I wouldn't keep them if they weren't comfortable of course.

The wedge is okay for work, but I wouldn't wear them on a trip. What is comfortable for an office job or running errands for a few hours could easily be painful walking around for hours on vacation.

  • I like the ballet flat.  It looks like a very versitile shoe but I'd be worried if they aren't super comfy.  The wedges don't look like grandma shoes to me but I definitely wouldn't wear them for a lot of walking.
  • I have the Air Bacara in suede and, while I love them for a short day at work, they would not be comfortable enough for sightseeing on a trip.

    I don't like the wedges.

  • I lived in and traveled all over China and I would just recommend bringing a comfy pair of "fashion" sneakers, and then a pair of nice flats or something if you want to be a little dressier.  China can be dirty, and you'll be doing tooons of walking, things are uber uber uber casual... and you'll want to be comfy. trust me!
  • Ballet Flats look better. And I like the color you choose. It's suitable for summer and matches most colors.
  • Thanks for all the opinions.  I think I'm going to take both of them back.  I don't want to spend $300 for shoes I am not that crazy about.
