My dog is having surgery today
He isn't the smartest dog to begin with so I'm worried how he will manage with a cone on his head. I'm also worried about my DS and my other dog freaking out.
Anyone have any cone head experiences to share? He has to get his front dew claws removed.

Re: My dog is having surgery today
I only have cat cone experience. If possible, ask for a soft one (do they make those for dogs?) - that way you can fold it back when he needs to eat or drink, then flop it forward when he's done.
I hope everything goes okay!!
My dog was SO freaked about his cone that he wanted to be right next to us all the time-This meant that he was basically ramming the backs of our legs with it just he would be near us. Once he got used to however he would run full speed like he always did, not realizing that he was wider than normal. He went through the open sliding glass door, but was just slightly too close to the wall, clipped it with his cone and sort of bounced off it the door frame.
It was funny. We laughed. He did not.
When Bella had her cone on she ran into one wall and just decided that moving wasn't worth it anymore. She just sat there looking pathetic.
I'm no help - I just took the cone off.
