Could I pin this shut?

I'm thinking of getting this dress for my honeymoon: clicky.

I know I wouldn't be comfortable with how low-cut it is, but do you think I could just pin it shut a bit more? I think during the day it would be fine because I could just wear my swimsuit under it, but what about after the honeymoon?

Re: Could I pin this shut?

  • I don't think it would lay right if you just pinned it.

What about layering a cami under it?

  • It may not be as cleavage-y in real life as it is on the VS model.  I'd wait until you try it on to worry about it.

  • I'm on the short side, about 5'4", so most dresses like that I have taken up at the shoulders. It solves the cleavage issue.
  • Plus, if it's a true wrap dress, you can adjust the amount of coverage.  I also use two-sided dress tape instead of pins.
  • Target also carries a convertible dress in a variety of colors. I recently bought one & love it!
  • This looks like the same dress I bought for my little sister a couple summers ago.  She let me wear it one day and I didn't have to pin it shut, though I may have worn a white cami underneath as pp suggested.  What I do remember is how darn SHORT it was, though.  (then again, I'm 5'10"...)
