Do you know of a cool place (where you can eat) in the Cities for a 30th birthday?
Re: MN nesties!
I don't speak French, so I'll just drink wine, smile, and nod. Sound good?
Okay, how many people? Do you want a private room, or just regular dining? I've got a ton of suggestions but I'll narrow them down based on your preferences.
Ok, here you go:
Amore Victoria near Lake Calhoun - delicious Italian food, close to the Lakes, big windows, good wine/champage, they have a party room/wine cellar downstairs
Santorini in Eden Prairie - it's a brunch buffet, but it is really good, high-quality food, some made-to-order, and it's a beautiful, quiet space that is good for a small group. Lots of fresh fruit and veggies.
Cafe Maude in South Minneapolis - cute little neighborhood spot. I've not been here for brunch/lunch, but dinner is delicious.
Craftsman Restaurant on East Lake towards the river - beautiful restaurant with yummy, local foods and good wine.
Firelake in the Radisson in downtown Mpls - it's a hotel restaurant, but it is WAY BETTER than a hotel restaurant's food has any right to be. Delicious and good wine menu.
Al Vento in South Minneapolis - yummy food and brunch comes with a bottomless mimosa or bloody mary. 'Nuf said.
Bar La Grassa - I'm itching to go back there for some more of their orange cauliflower gnocchi.
Or Midtown Global Market? Lots of choices for everyone there.
I like to browse around mspmag.com when I'm looking for restaurant ideas.
If the weather is nice, you could do Psycho Suzi's on their patio or Stella's Fish Cafe in uptown or Sea Salt at Minnehaha Falls.
And if you like pizza, there's Pizza Luce.
Now I'm really hungry!
I second Bar La Grassa! The food there is amazing.
I would also suggest Lucia's and Bryant Lake Bowl.
Bin Wine Bar is lovely, too, but I've only been there with 2 people, so not sure about bigger rooms... I will also drink wine and throw some ballet vocab into the conversation (the only french I know) while crashing your birthday party!
And YAY for 30th birthdays!
OOOH, maybe we should just have another GTG in honour of your birthday!
I know a few places in the White Bear area, are you looking more for downtown?
