Recommend your at-home workout (that can be done in 30ish minutes)

Ok, I need to get serious about losing more baby weight and getting into overall better shape (pregnancy left me pretty flabby when I used to have good muscle tone!)  With summer lingering in the not-so-distant future, I'm determined to at least look decent on the beach this summer!

I have 30DS but I never seem to stick with it for more than a few days so I'm thinking of trying something else to see if I'll like it better (I actually do like 30DS, I just can't seem to make myself do it)

  • Well, I've done Jillian's Body Revolution for only two weeks (not consecutive weeks due to vacation).  But I really, really like it.

It's 30 minutes of circuits and it's changes throughout the program so you (and your muscles) don't get bored.  All you need is a yoga mat, weights and a stretchy band and 30 minutes.  I've seen the results very quickly.

I really like Bob Harper's Inside Out Method DVDs. I have the strength and cardio ones. I've only ever done the full workouts (which are about 65 minutes), but there are also 20 minute options on the DVDs that I assume are condensed versions. They are under $10 each on Amazon.

  • I agree with Jaime!  I have Jillian's body revolution and am loving it.  I actually started over last week because I missed a few days during my 3rd week and was totally thrown off but results do show quickly and it does not get boring.  As soon as your body gets used to the workout the two weeks are up and its time to move on to the next two weeks.  I can't say enought that I love it.

  • I think of video stuff as rainy day workouts, but I think a variety would help. Do you get On Demand or Netflix?

I agree with Jo. I love his DVD's

JM has Ripped in 30 and her kickboxing one are about 20-30 mins in length too.

  • I've been dragging my feet about ordering JM's Body Revolution...I didn't want it to be yet ANOTHER workout DVD that is collecting dust on my shelf. However, I just took the plunge and placed my order. I'm going to tell FF that I'm getting up before work to do the workouts...and I want him to ask me every day if I worked out. This way, I'm going to be held accountable because 1) I won't lie to him and 2) I don't want him to see me as a failure...which I know he never would, but it's a mind trick I"m going to use on myself.
