Do you have a US Passport card?
I'm renewing my passport and I'm thinking of getting the card too for $30.00 more.
I guess I don't need it because I can obviously cross the Canadian or Mexican borders with the passport book. I think I just want it because it looks cool.
Re: Do you have a US Passport card?
No, I have a passport. It's a waste of $30 IMO
I would be able to cross the border with this card by car, not by air. My primary need for a passport is crossing the Canadian and Mexican borders by car.
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted and used against you. My Blog
Same.
What kind of hassle did he encounter?
It seems like a waste of money to me. I would prefer to have the passport book in hand for travel.
*Coming from someone who is constantly in a panic over where my green card is when I travel heh.*
It's a cheaper option if you know you are only going to Canada or Mexico but if you already have a passport (book) there really is not point in getting the card.
Where do you live? In my state, NY, you can get an enhanced drivers license to get into Canada.
