My Dvd player took a crap tonight. Any experience with a cheap one that will still work? I was checking out the BF ads, but they are all for blu-ray, which I refuse to pay for.
Re: Cheap DVD player?
How cheap are you looking for? I had a $30 one from WalMart that carried me through all four years of college without an issue (it was either a Magnavox or Memorex, can't recall which - they have both brands currently for about $35). We just finally ditched it this summer because DH, despite many protests to the contrary, most decidedly lost the remote to it when we moved in June '07 and we were sick of having to wait for the DVD to start itself.
Clearly we're not big movie-watchers if we were able to make it a year without the remote.
Anyway, DH bought a HD Philips this time around (said he was "making the most" of his beloved TV with the DVD player). We originally bought it from Target, then found it on amazon for $20 less, so we returned the Target one and ordered through amazon and it's been fine.
... every single day of forever.
