Stott Pilates, Barre fitness or Crossfit?

Which one would you start out with?

(The last I lifted a finger was with a personal trainer about 7 years ago).

Re: Stott Pilates, Barre fitness or Crossfit?

  • I'd try them all and stick with the one you like. The BEST exercise is the one you enjoy doing. They all have benefits.
  • They are all so totally different I'm not sure how you could compare.  Try them and see which you like best - they all have different benefits
  • Like PP, try them to see what you'll like! I just finished up a Stott Pilates class and liked, but didn't love, it. I'm itching to try Crossfit, though!

    Ditto.

They are very different environments and types of exercise, so you need to think about which sounds most appealing to you and start with that.

I love CrossFit, and the thought of Pilates or any dance-related fitness class makes me shudder.  Not my thing, at all.

  • Ditto PP.  There seem to be lots of exercise deals on Groupon and Livingsocial, so I would try out a few classes of each exercise.  I've always liked Pilates, but love love love barre3 classes.
