I'm working on this sweater for DD. I cast on sometime last sumer, and just finished the back last night. Yet I started the front today and expect to have it done by the end of the week. I always seem to lag at first, then get into a groove.
I should try to apply it to a couple of UFOs, like that Celtic knot stole that's somewhere in my craft room...

The sweater is beautiful. I hope I get to that level some day!
... And I agree (but with my much smaller projects) that its much more motivating when I see that its actually turning into something. I just started a new blanket and have been convincing myself to do a few rows at a time. Once I get closer to the end I know that'll be a breeze, but right now there's a lot more yarn on the ball than my blanket and I don't get giddy every time I pick it up yet.
