Jealous of my mom and Cracker Barrel

My mom just called...said she was going to eat at Cracker Barrel for dinner. That would be SOOOO good tonight...they have a fire there and it's cold out...and their chicken and dumplings...omg...DH and I went to the grocery store last night and bought stuff so we would eat at home this week before leaving but I would LOVE some Cracker Barrel right now.

    That does sound good...Bob just said for me to be ready at 5, I have no idea where we're going but Cracker Barrel would be sooo good...and then shopping in their store!

    I always tell my dh--wouldnt yoy rather have chicken n dumplings or whatever you know he likes vs frozen pizza etc...it usually works-or I just say that i have been so busy w dd that i havent had time to cook-which usually really is the case.

    Well, my surprise was the little Italian Pasta Mill in downtown Prattville. It was ok, Crackerbarrel would have been a LOT better.

    As you know, DH is a much better cook than I am. He made

    fettuccini alfredo and steamed veggies which was really good. However, I did convince him to take me to Brusters. I wanted some pumpkin pie ice cream but they were out so I got Chocolate Peanut Butter Buckeye---delicious!

    I LOVE Cracker Barrel, but DH won't eat there, doesn't care for it.

    BUT Brusters is SO yummy and I LOVE both those flavors you mentioned!!
