80s Prom Party attire
Hi Girls!
My BF is taking me to an 80s prom party. He said its more sexy and chic 80s attire rather than silly shoulder pad 80s. Can you please help me out with some outfit ideas?

just from some random googling... If you want to avoid shoulder pads I think you'd be good with a strapless sweetheart neckline in a bright color, maybe a bubble hem or tiered skirt, accessorized with bangles, fingerless lace gloves and big earrings.
Other non-shoulder pad options seem to include flutter sleeves (particularly if they're off the shoulder)
I'm seeing everything from full on Gone With the Wind to Little House on the Prairie to Madonna inspired prom dresses.
I'd look at Footloose or Dirty Dancing (as opposed to Dynasty or Dallas)
Look at Pretty in Pink. LOTS of inspiration there! Also, for a kitchy look back, check out Romy & Michelle.
Try Goodwill and get inspiration there!
I could sell you mine. It's a pink taffeta with silver sequins and some lace from 1987 and I wore it with a hoop slip. It's hanging in my parent's basement. I think I still have my white lace gloves that I wore with it.
Gaudy is what you're going for. Wear heavy make-up with liquid eyeliner and big earrings.
