His attorney went on AC360 last night and is disclosing it to the judge during their hearing today. I can't wait to see what the judge does with this.
George Zimmerman's lawyer, Mark O'Mara, tells Anderson Cooper exclusively that his client raised more than $200,000 through his website. This contradicts previous statements Zimmerman and O'Mara have made about his finances. There's a discrepancy between what was stated during Zimmerman's bond hearing and the new information about donations.
Initially, O'Mara said he was told that the website created by Zimmerman with a Paypal account for donations had received around 700 to a few thousand dollars. The attorney found out about the $200,000 when he was in the process of trying to "shut down" Zimmerman's internet presence.

Another article http://edition.cnn.com/2012/04/27/justice/florida-zimmerman-money/?hpt=us_c2 said that "Although Zimmerman spent some of the contributions on living expenses, about $150,000 remains, O'Mara said Friday. O'Mara said he has put the money into a trust he controls until a final decision is made about its use.".....
So Zimmerman somehow spent $50k in about a month on 'living expenses'? or even less than a month, since I think the website has only been up a few weeks.
It is definitely dishonest, and I think that his bail should be raised or revoked since that kind of information may have changed the judges opinion. Bail was low because Zimmerman and his family supposedly had few assets...
Not according to the published bail schedules for the state of FL. This is from a different county, but it can't vary all that drastically within the same state.

I assume he is employing security of some kind for himself (and wife? Isn't he married?). It's not hard to imagine him running up $50K.

I thought I heard last night that he's going to ask the state for security? Is that correct?
If so, it seems like a really stupid idea. I would think the answer from the state would be "We have really good security at the jail you wanted bail from..." Would any state really provide security for someone they're prosecuting, someone who only needs security because they made bail?
